GI-MAP® Stool Test — A Closer Look at Your Gut Health
Your gut plays an important role in digestion, immune function, and overall wellness. The GI-MAP® (Gastrointestinal Microbial Assay Plus) from Diagnostic Solutions Laboratory provides information about specific gut microorganisms and markers of digestive and intestinal health.
The test uses quantitative PCR (qPCR) technology to detect and measure the DNA of targeted bacteria, parasites, fungi, and viruses. Additional markers provide information about digestive function, intestinal inflammation, and immune activity—helping your healthcare provider put your results into context and discuss personalized next steps.
THIS IS A STOOL TEST—NO BLOOD DRAW IS REQUIRED. Collect your sample at home using the laboratory’s collection kit, then return it according to the supplied instructions.

Understanding Your Results
Results should be reviewed alongside your symptoms, medical history, and other findings. Detecting microbial DNA does not, by itself, establish an active infection or confirm the cause of symptoms. Stool viral findings do not establish systemic viral reactivation, and anti-gliadin IgA alone does not diagnose celiac disease.
